Man fatally shot in the head after argument turns violent in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE -

An investigation is underway after a man was fatally shot in the head in Brownsville.

First responders tell News 12 they received the call around 5:30 a.m. Monday when they found a 32-year-old man unconscious between Blake Avenue and Van Sinderen Avenue.

Police confirmed that the victim and another man were having a dispute when that dispute turned violent.

Detectives say the suspect then shot the 32-year-old in the back of the head.

The victim was taken to a Brookdale Hospital where he died.

Police are still unclear on what the two men were arguing about or what the motive behind the shooting may have been.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and no arrests have been made.
