Here's a look at your top business and tech headlines from Cheddar on News 12:

Volkswagen is getting ready to say goodbye to combustible engines. The car company says it will stop developing the technology in 2026. Instead it will focus on electric vehicles. Volkswagen made a shift to the environmentally friendly vehicles in 2015, after its involvement in a major diesel emissions scandal. VW is the best-selling passenger car brand in both Europe and China.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says he is still eyeing a future in politics. He says if he does run for president he will try to sell his namesake company. The company sells financial news and data through subscription services. Finding a buyer could prove difficult, as the company has been valued as high at $40 billion.

XFL is back. WWE CEO Vince McMahon says football teams will launch in eight cities when the first season kicks off in February 2020. Among the cities getting teams are Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Tampa Bay and Washington, D.C. The league first launched in 2001, but only lasted one season.
