Seniors in New Canaan are brushing up on their driving skills as part of an AARP course.
Roger Colson teaches the AARP driver safety class and says he even took it himself. Colson says he wanted to teach the course because he learned that just by getting older he noticed seniors were generally more prone to accidents.
Colson says it's very important to remind seniors that they're not as agile as they used to be and just how things have changed.
"It's really all about changes," says Colson. "How we have changed, our reflexes have changed, our attention span, awareness of the road."
Anyone interested in the class must be 60 or older and the cost is $25 for non-members and $20 for AARP members. The course also saves drivers 5 percent on their insurance.
