NYPD: Trinitarios gang behind fatal push into oncoming traffic

The NYPD has confirmed that Trinitarios gang members are responsible for pushing a 17-year-old male into oncoming traffic and killing him in Fordham Monday night.
According to police, 17-year-old Angel Reyes-Godoy was in an argument Monday evening with two Trinitarios gang members when they shoved him into oncoming traffic on Bainbridge Avenue. He was hit by an ambulette van and later died at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea says Reyes-Godoy was involved in the gang at some point, but wasn’t involved at the time of his death.
The NYPD says they are working with the district attorney in the case. They say they found video of the dispute before he was pushed and are making “strong progress."
The gang is the same group believed to be responsible for the stabbing death of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman over the summer.
