Thousands of children received toys from a Bridgeport church that was targeted by thieves.
The Greater Bridgeport Christan Fellowship Church say they were able to hand out presents this holiday season thanks to the community's support.
The church had to have $8,000 worth of presents replaced after they were stolen from its Toys for Tots program.
"We have proven that faith is greater then fear," said Pastor Eric Torres. "We could have easily been discouraged with the incident that took place two weeks ago when our storage pods were robbed, but it goes to show that even now our community is knitted together. They are tremendous, they're working hard, they're giving 100 percent of themselves."
Pastor Torres is thankful to everyone who dropped off toys to replace the stolen ones
