Old Bethpage museum honors Americans killed during Battle of the Bulge
Old Bethpage Village Restoration kept history alive Sunday by remembering and honoring the thousands of Americans who lost their lives during the Battle of the Bulge.
Sunday marked the battle's 74th anniversary.
The Museum of the American Armor honored Americans who fought in the World War II battle where the German army launched a massive attack on forces in Belgium.
About 19,000 Americans were killed in the attack.
A daylong exhibit was on display where people were able to see the tanks and armor from those who defended the forces that day.
There was also a candlelight vigil and a 21-gun salute for those who fought during the Battle of the Bulge.
