SHEEPSHEAD BAY -

The NYPD is making stops throughout the borough Christmas Day for a good and festive cause.

Officers from the 70th Precinct and volunteers from the Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA) are coming together for the sixth annual Blue Christmas to bring holiday cheer to five families in need.

They will be dropping off clothing, gifts and food.

Officers told News 12 that they look forward to Blue Christmas all holiday season and are excited to keep the tradition going for years to come.
