Officials: Driver hits 6-year-old girl, 44-year-old man in Riverdale

Officials say two pedestrians were struck in Riverdale just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Officials say two pedestrians were struck in Riverdale just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities say the incident happened at 3240 Riverdale Ave.
Police say a 53-year-old male driver started coughing, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle, jump the curb and strike a 6-year-old girl and a 44-year-old male located on the sidewalk.
EMS transported the pedestrians to St. Barnabas Hospital. Officials say they are likely to survive.
