Friday flurries to be followed by bitter weekend blast
The Friday morning flurries started out messy, but there was minimal accumulation on the roads.
The salt spreaders were out all morning laying down salt on the roads.

Most of the snow had melted by 8 a.m.
Unfortunately, the light coating was just the start of winter weather in the borough.
News 12 meteorologists say the upcoming weekend storm will be much heavier, making for dangerous driving conditions.
Officials are asking residents to be prepared by filling their gas tasks, wearing warm clothing and have a stocked refrigerator.
