Downtown Brooklyn braces for snow, cold temps

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN -

Downtown Brooklyn residents made a number of preparations to make sure they were set for anything that comes with this weekend's storm.

Area residents said they were not overly concerned about the impending snow and sleet, but were playing it safe.

On the shopping lists of many were extra layers of clothes, food, shovels and salt.

City officials asked people to stay indoors during the precipitation so that plows can do their job.
