Flooding rain turns to sheets of ice on Huntington road

Customers on the Huntington and Port Jefferson branches can expect 10 to 15 minute delays.

The freezing temperatures created slick conditions on some area roads across Long Island.
A trouble spot was identified in Huntington on Pidgeon Hill Road.
Crews were working to clear up the mess, south of Jericho Turnpike where flooding rain turned to ice as the temperatures plummeted.
Highway crews were salting to clear the roadways.
