Manhattan water main break causes delays, services changes to L train
L trains were suspended between Manhattan and Brooklyn this morning due to a water main break in Manhattan.
The MTA says service between Bedford Avenue and Manhattan has been restored, but is still running with delays as crews continue to work on cleaning and maintaining the tracks
Coincidentally, the suspension in service between Bedford and 8th avenues mirrors the plans that were made for the L train shutdown which was set to happen in April before Gov. Andrew Cuomo stepped in with an alternate plan.
As an alternate route, some had to take other trains including the A, C, J or M trains or the B39 bus across the Williamsburg Bridge.
The MTA says water has stopped flowing into the tunnels, and they're working to restore full service before the afternoon rush.
