East Flatbush barber offers free cuts to federal workers hurt by shutdown

A barber in East Flatbush is trying to help federal employees who have been impacted by the government shutdown.
Roland Anthony, founder of Starlinerz Barber Shop, says he wanted to do his part to help the community however he could. He decided to offer free haircuts to government workers who are struggling because of the shutdown.
Haircuts usually go for about $20, but he's offering them at no charge to workers and their loved ones. So far, Anthony says he's offered free cuts to TSA workers and members of the Coast Guard.
He says customers are reacting with gratitude and appreciation.
President Donald Trump and Congress reached a deal Friday to fund the government for three weeks. But it's not clear when workers who missed paychecks during the 35-day shutdown could receive back-pay.
