The hunt is on for three people who attacked a man in Canarsie.
Police say it all started on a southbound B17 bus, escalating when the suspects and victim got off at Remsen Avenue and Avenue D.
Officials are now searching for two women and one man who they say are seen in surveillance images.
It happened around 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Police say a 28-year-old man was on board the bus when he got into an argument with another man.
They say the two started cursing at each other before that man spit on the 28-year-old, getting saliva on another man as well.
Police say the 28-year-old got off the bus, but at the last minute someone yelled “open the back door” to the driver and jumped off the bus, chasing after him.
Police say two women jumped on top of him and that man who had chased him pulled out a gun and hit him multiple times in the head.
Police tell us the 28-year-old was taken to the hospital and had to get eight staples in his head.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
