Wintry weather makes for wet, slushy commute

Posted: Updated:
SHEEPSHEAD BAY -

Roads and sidewalks were left wet and slushy Tuesday evening, after wintry weather moved across the region.

Commuters faced a difficult drive home as slick roads made it hard for cars to stop and brown slush covered up lane dividers.

Those who took the subway say there were long delays and they had to wait in the cold.

Even though the snow is over, residents are being reminded to be careful as conditions may remain slippery and cold.
