Receiver of taxes announces bid to run for Town of Hempstead supervisor
The Town of Hempstead receiver of taxes announced his bid Tuesday to run for town supervisor.
Republican Don Clavin said he plans to run for Town of Hempstead supervisor against Democratic incumbent Laura Gillen.
"I am pledging to every resident right now that day one I am going to slash $1 million from the supervisor's patriot-filled budget and put money back where it belongs and that is in the taxpayers wallets," says Clavin.
Also announcing a run for office was former Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray. She plans to run for town clerk.
