Artists, musicians and writers gathered at The Brooklyn Commons on Saturday to kick off an art series that will give creatives the opportunity to showcase their work.
The Bed Stuy Arts Stroll, a series of literary events, open studios and art exhibitions, will take place the first weekend of every month starting in March.
The stroll is self-guided and will include stops at murals and other art-related spaces.
For local artists, the stroll could be an opportunity to show their work to their own community.
