Quick-thinking teacher saves choking student
A quick-thinking Pascack Valley High School teacher saved a student who started choking.

Julianne Downes was teaching a culinary arts class and performed the Heimlich maneuver.

The student then started breathing again.

The Pascack Valley Regional High School District is the first in New Jersey to CPR certify all staff and students.
