Good Samaritan defends teen against group of attackers

BUSHWICK -

A man helped save a teenager who was fleeing a group of attackers in Bushwick.

Police say a 17-year-old was riding on a moped when five men allegedly assaulted the teen on March 21 outside 718 Knickerbocker Ave.

The teen sought shelter at El Conunco bodega, where he was protected by good Samaritan Vincent Millan and some of the workers.

Millan, 43, fought off the men with just a bike seat as his defense.

He says attacks like these are becoming too common in the city.

Police say the attackers eventually fled, but took the teenager's moped.

Police are still searching suspects in connection to the incident.
