EAST NEW YORK -

Police are searching for gunmen they say shot a man during a robbery in East New York.

NYPD released video of the incident that happened Sunday.

The video shows two suspects running out of a parked car and up to the 29-year-old victim.

Detectives say the suspects, who were both carrying guns, cornered the victim.

Officers say they demanded that the victim hand over his belongings. When he refused and tried to run away on Van Siclen Avenue, one of the suspects shot the 29-year-old in the leg.

The video also shows the two suspects in dark hooded sweatshirts running off, back into their car and driving away. According to police, they got away with a necklace.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he is expected to be OK.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
