A convicted felon out on parole is back behind bars Monday for allegedly firing a gun outside of a nightclub in Stamford.
Police believe 27-year-old Robert Anderson had a gun with him last night that may have fired off a shot at a local nightclub.
They say at around 1 a.m. Monday, a single shot was fired outside the Mystique Nightclub on Poplar Street but no one was hurt.
Officials say the gun was found in the back of Anderson's car but don't know why the gun was fired or know for sure if it was his gun that went off.
Anderson was arraigned Monday. He is charged with criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a gun without a permit. Officials say he also violated his parole.
The judge set Anderson's bond at $250,000. Anderson is due back in court next month.
Police ask anyone with information to call 203-977-4444.
