Police called on defeated councilman who was knocking on doors late at night

Police officers were called to an Essex County neighborhood after a defeated town councilman was seen knocking on doors after 10 p.m. trying to speak with voters.
A video obtained by the New Jersey Globe appears to show incumbent Cedar Grove Councilman Harry Kumburis knocking on doors attempting to speak to voters who failed to send back mail-in ballots.
Kumburis lost Tuesday night’s election by only 33 votes.
A homeowner called police after noticing Kumburis and another man walking around the neighborhood late at night.
Kumburis said that he did not think it was odd to be knocking on doors more than two hours after the polls closed.
