BROOKLYN -

The BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival kicked off its summer season Tuesday with music, celerations and some special guests.

Revelers gathered in Prospect Park as legendary artist Patti LaBelle started off the season with a performance. It's only one of many exciting offerings on BRIC's summer slate, which includes music, movies, dancing and more.

The festival is one of New York City's longest-running free outdoor performing arts festivals. It is now in its 41st season.

The festival runs until August 10.
