Police arrest 2 men after slashing outside Coney Island elementary school

Police arrested two men after a slashing outside a school in Coney Island during dismissal.
News 12 is told that the two men slashed are out of the hospital and have been arrested for Wednesday’s incidents.
Police say both men, 28-year-old Alfonso Gloster and 29-year-old Tyrin Torres, are charged with assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
The arrests happened after police say a violent fight broke out outside of P.S. 188 on Neptune Avenue.
Police sources say the two men showed up to the school to pick up the same girl. They say one is her biological father and the other is the mother's current boyfriend.
Right around school dismissal, police say the men got into a fight and that fight turned violent.
Authorities tell News 12 the 28-year-old biological father was slashed in the face and the 29-year-old was slashed in the back.
News 12 was told no children were harmed during the incident, but it was a frightening scene for many young children and parents picking up their kids.
Teachers tell News 12 they have received multiple emails from parents concerns about their children's safety.
