Block party held in honor of Lesandro 'Junior' Guzman-Feliz

A block party was held Saturday near the bodega where Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz was killed by the Trinitarios gang just over a year ago.
The party was a part of the second annual Stop the Violence event, which paid homage to the 15-year-old who was fatally stabbed.
"We have to stop this violence," said Junior's mother, Leandra Feliz. "We need to take care of our future kids. We don't want no violence in the Bronx."
The Stop the Violence event also honored 25-year-old Lisa Marie Velasquez, who was killed last year.
The block party featured music, performances and games.
Organizers say the event demonstrated how, even a year after Junior's death, he could bring people together and impact lives beyond Belmont.
Festivities honoring Junior were being held through Saturday evening.
