Mayor: Con Ed cuts power to 30,000 in Brooklyn to prevent larger outage

Mayor Bill de Blasio says Con Edison has cut power to 30,000 people in Brooklyn in order to prevent a larger outage.  In addition, he says emergency personnel are on scene to assist.

The outage comes as scorching temperatures blanketed the city throughout the weekend.
