Toyota enlists Japanese startup to help with its robot research

Disney is having a record year, bringing in more than $8 billion at the global box office - thanks to hits like “Avengers: Endgame” and “Aladdin.” The studio has some very big and expensive plans that stretch beyond movie theaters. Its streaming platform Disney Plus is launching in November, and is one of the company's biggest undertakings in recent years. Disney hopes the platform will gain $12 million subscribers by the end of next year.
Toyota has enlisted the help of a Japanese startup to help with its robot research. The automaker has been working with Tokyo-based 'Preferred Networks' on driverless cars since 2014. Now, the companies are expanding their partnership to develop service robot helpers for your home. 'Preferred Networks' has already exhibited a robot that could tidy a room and distinguish between trash and dirty towels. Toyota hopes to eventually deploy these robots into homes and hospitals, to support Japan’s rapidly aging population.
Samsung is announcing a new Galaxy Note 10 and 10 Plus. The smartphones start at a whopping $949. Both models come with increased battery life, in-screen fingerprint sensors, wireless charging and three cameras. The Note 10 Plus also has an extra camera that can be used for 3D scanning.
