Cyclist identified in fatal chain-reaction crash in Midwood

A cyclist is dead and two other people injured after a car crash in Midwood Sunday afternoon.
The cyclist was killed after two cars crashed at the intersection of Coney Island Avenue and Avenue L.
Police identified the cyclist that was killed as 52-year-old Jose Alzorriz.
Surveillance video shows the moment a silver Dodge Charger speed through an intersection slamming into a blue Honda, causing the two vehicles to spin out of control, hitting a Honda SUV.
The Honda SUV that was hit was sent flying into the bicyclist who died.
The two other victims, a 52-year-old pedestrian and the driver of the blue Honda, a 39-year-old man, they were both taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The 18-year-old who was driving the silver Charger was taken into custody.
The crash brings the number of cyclist fatalities to 19 so far this year.
