A Rockland County man accused of leaving his twins in a sweltering hot car in the Bronx returned to court Tuesday.
Juan Rodriguez is charged with two counts of manslaughter in the death of his 1-year-old twins back on July 26.
Prosecutors told the court Tuesday that they are still investigating this high-profile case saying that so far there has been no grand jury action.
This is the second appearance for the Rockland County father accused of manslaughter in the death of twins Luna and Phoenix.
The case is on hold for now as prosecutors continue to gather more evidence and investigate.
Prosecutors say Rodriguez told police he thought he dropped the infants off at day care before heading to work at the VA Hospital in Kingsbridge.

His lawyer is urging the Bronx District Attorney's Office to drop the charges in this case saying the death of the twins was an accident. He says this unfortunate incident happens more often than you think.
Rodriguez is out on $100,000 bond. He is due back in court on Sept. 24.
