‘Facebook Dating’ launches in the US

Facebook is launching "Facebook Dating." It allows users to create a separate profile for dating and meeting, and matches users with others outside - or even within - your friend circle, depending on your preference. The service is entering a crowded field that already includes general and specialist incumbents like Tinder.

Apple is reportedly working on an in-display fingerprint reader. Fingerprints can be used in addition to face scanning to unlock a phone and make contactless payments. The technology could shrink the phone's bezel even more. Many Android competitors already employ the feature.

Amazon is announcing a slate of new Alexa and Fire TV-enabled products. Top among them is the Fire TV Cube, which essentially lets you control your TV and cable box using just your voice. The new version is up to twice as fast, Amazon says. The company also announced more than 15 products from third-party sellers that integrate Alexa and Fire TV, like new sound bars and smart televisions.
