British lawmakers push to restrict or ban banker bonuses

British lawmakers are pushing for legislation that might restrict or even ban banks from giving their bankers bonuses, according to the Financial Times. The UK’s shadow chancellor says bonuses have reached "grotesque levels of inequality." Measures include increasing shareholder power and restricting the size of bonuses.

Sen. Ed Markey is slamming Amazon's smart doorbell Ring over its neighbors’ surveillance network and its use by police forces. The senator says it creates a potential civil liberties violation by sharing footage with police departments.

Chipotle is acknowledging the fact that customers are continuing to swipe its hot sauce, especially in stores near colleges. The burrito chain is distributing a free 'things you borrow' kit with delivery orders in select college towns. The kit includes napkins, cutlery, two tabasco sauces, and is covered with tape that reads “property of Chipotle.”
