CNBC: Facebook partners with Luxottica for glasses designed to replace smartphones

Facebook is partnering with eyewear giant Luxottica to develop a pair of smart glasses that are designed to replace smartphones, according to CNBC. The smart glasses will reportedly include an AI assistant, livestream the wearer's view, and hopes to launch closer to 2023. Luxottica previously partnered with Google to develop Google Glass.

Automaker GM is shifting the health insurance costs for workers on strike to the UAW union. GM says the benefits are shifted to the union's strike fund. The union has unsuccessfully sought to have GM cover costs through the end of the month.

Snapchat is testing changes that include a tabbed layout with one dedicated to news. The tabbed layout hopes to make navigation easier, and highlight functions like subscriptions. Snapchat is reportedly in discussions with publishers for content, according to the information.
