Authorities say two people were killed in a two-car crash Friday evening in Montville.
Police responded to the scene shortly before 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Route 202 and Heritage Court, where they say a 2009 Saab and a 2016 Nissan vehicle had collided.
Officials say a 93-year-old woman from Hallandale, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene. She had been riding in the backseat of the Saab. Two others from that vehicle were taken to Morristown Medical Center with injuries.
Authorities say a passenger in the Nissan, an 85-year-old man from Totowa, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Another occupant of the Nissan was also hospitalized with injuries.
The identities of the people involved have not been released and the cause of the crash is unclear at this time.
The crash is under investigation by Montville police, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and the Morris County Sheriff's Office.
