PSEG replaces poles, restores power to ‘trapped’ Coram neighborhood

Residents in a Coram neighborhood reached out to News 12 after they say they couldn't get a firm response from PSEG-Long Island.

They were among the thousands without power following Wednesday's storm.

About a dozen people who live off Planters Lane were trapped on their dead-end street after the rain and high winds from the storm brought down trees and power lines.

Neighbors tell News 12 they missed work, school and doctor's appointments because they were trapped on the block.

PSEG did send crews to the neighborhood late Thursday night to replace two snapped poles and restore the power.
