Suffolk police say they are searching for a package thief in the Babylon area.
Police say packages were taken from six homes over a four-day period in Babylon and West Babylon.
The packages were reported missing last Tuesday through last Friday.
Richard Barry, of Babylon, is one of the victims who had his items stolen. He says he ordered stuff for his grandkids. The items were delivered and an hour or two later his stuff was gone.
Police say the package thefts are all connected. They're advising residents to be careful when ordering items to be delivered.
"Amazon has lockers now," says Lt. Paul Mamay. "You can have items shipped to a locker, pick it up after it's delivered. I believe other services like UPS you can request to have a signature required. You can have it delivered to a neighbor who's home all the time."
If you think you may be a victim, call the First Precinct Crime Section at 631-854-8126.
