The American Red Cross is helping four families from Newark find temporary housing after a fire tore through their building Sunday morning.

The American Red Cross is helping four families from Newark find temporary housing after a fire tore through their building Sunday morning.
The flames erupted around 6:30 a.m. at the building on Vermont Avenue.
One resident was taken to the hospital to be checked out and a firefighter was treated after she fell and injured her back.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
