A travel advisory was issued until 11 a.m. across the city.

The snow has since let up, but drivers are advised to use caution on the roads due to icy or slick conditions.

The city’s Sanitation Department began salting streets Tuesday night to prepare for the morning snowfall. News 12 is told over 700 salt spreaders were ready to move across the city.

Despite the snow beginning to clear, the city still advises residents to use mass transit, as there is still a gridlock alert issued.
