Chef North, of Nit Noi Provisions in Norwalk, shows News 12's Tina Redwine how to make baby bok choy in chicken bone broth.
Baby Bok Choy Sautéed in Chicken Bone Broth
Ingredients:
10 bunches of baby bok choy
1 cup of Nit Noi Chicken Bone Broth or Organic Vegetable Broth
5 gloves of garlic, peeled
3 tbsp of light soy sauce
2 tbsp of oyster sauce
2 tbsp of coconut oil
1 tbsp of Nit Noi Thai Fried Garlic (optional)
Method:
Bring a medium size pot of water to a boil, blanch the baby bok choy for 1-2
minutes, making sure they retain some crunch before straining into a sieve. Rinse
with cold water and place in a cool bowl.
In a medium sized pan on medium high head, add coconut oil and garlic, cooking
until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Add bok choy and sauté for 1 minute on high
heat. Add Nit Noi Organic Vegetable Broth, and sauté for another 1 minute. Turn
off heat, and garnish with light soy sauce and Nit Noi Thai Fried Garlic, plate while
hot.
