Police: NYCHA employee on the run after shooting supervisor arrested

Police say the NYCHA employee who fled the scene of a shooting on Bailey Avenue was arrested on Wednesday.
The incident happened on Jan. 6 when a dispute led the suspect to shoot his 43-year-old supervisor, according to police. They say the NYCHA employee shot his supervisor as the supervisor was writing him up.
Police say 46-year-old Frankie Corchado was arrested around 8:15 a.m.
Police say Corchado is facing charges including attempted murder, three counts of assault and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Tenants Association President Barbara Lauray says all of this could have been avoided if NYCHA removed the shooter from his position after being reported multiple times in the past.
