New York Lizards' 2020 season delayed due to COVID-19

Major League Lacrosse's New York Lizards have announced the postponement of the start of its 2020 season.
The Lizards, which play home games at Hofstra University, were due to start their season May 30. The team will also play one home game at Farmingdale State College.
"We are working closely with the community health leaders, as the league office has been in touch with the CDC, to follow and develop protocol for the 2020 season in accordance with their direction," said Jeffrey Rudnick, president of the New York Lizards.
The Lizards' upcoming season will be its 20th.
