Wildwood and North Wildwood beaches will close Wednesday to help fight the spread of coronavirus, and remain closed until at least May 1.

Wildwood and North Wildwood beaches will close Wednesday to help fight the spread of coronavirus, and remain closed until at least May 1.

Wildwood Crest Mayor Don Cabrera announced on Facebook that the borough's beaches and bike path were closed until further notice.

The beaches in Wildwood Crest and Avalon also recently closed until further notice.

People will still be permitted to use the North Wildwood boardwalk, bike path, and seawall before 8 a.m. to walk, run, or bike.
