A man is dead after a shooting in Brownsville.

Police say it happened around 10 p.m. Thursday inside the Seth Low Houses.

When they arrived, they found a 48-year-old man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after.

Police say the victim's last known address was in Mount Vernon, and it is not clear what led up to the shooting,

They are looking for at least two people, a man and a woman, in connection to the shooting.

News 12 is told a firearm and a piece of clothing were recovered about a block away.
