Fire officials: 9 people injured in Belmont building fire

Fire officials say nine people, including firefighters, were injured when a fire broke out in a Belmont apartment building Saturday night.

Fire officials say nine people, including firefighters, were injured when a fire broke out in a Belmont apartment building Saturday night.
They say firefighters got to the scene around 11:30 p.m., where the fire was on the second floor of a five-story building on Crescent Avenue.
Fire officials say 12 FDNY units and 60 firefighters were on the scene.
They say at least nine people were injured, with two people in critical condition while another person is being treated for life-threatening injuries. A fourth person is in serious condition.
The firefighters and remaining civilians were all treated for minor injuries. The victims who needed medical attention were taken to St. Barnabas.
