During this pandemic, park employees have been working to keep local parks clean and safe for the public.

The New York City Parks Department says it takes a crew of 20 people to maintain a park.
Employees at Joyce Kilmer Park in the Bronx begin in their morning, pruning, mowing and cleaning litter left behind from the weekend.
As essential city workers, they’re equipped with personal protective equipment to maintain some 200 neighborhood parks in the Concourse Village section of the Bronx.
To help protect its workers and the public, the Parks Department says people should follow these basic guidelines when visiting the city parks.
The Parks Department says there’s more 7,000 acres of park land across New York City. As more people venture out, the Parks Department is urging New Yorkers do their part during the pandemic so that everyone can enjoy what their neighborhood park has to offer.
