The oldest and largest acrylic company in the United States is seeing high demand in more than just furnishings. 

For more than 60 years, Plexi Craft Custom Fine Acrylic Furnishings has produced custom-made acrylic furniture and plexiglass products. Now, it is taking on new craftsmanship that’s become essential during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The family-owned business is now producing custom-made sneeze guards and other protective barriers for high-end hotels, restaurants and office buildings. 

It is also making medical-related products for hospitals. The company reopened its doors about a week and a half ago because of the high demand for protective barriers. 

It has been able to rehire all of its workers.
