Gov. Cuomo partners with Chris Rock, Rosie Perez to encourage testing, face covering

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a new partnership with Brooklyn natives Chris Rock and Rosie Perez in hopes of encouraging more people to wear masks and get tested.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a new partnership with Brooklyn natives Chris Rock and Rosie Perez in hopes of encouraging more people to wear masks and get tested. 
Cuomo says that Chris Rock and Rosie Perez will be doing advertisements and using social media to help get the word out. 
It's all part of a campaign to make sure New Yorkers across the state are doing their part to stay safe.
"Wear a mask, please! The numbers in our communities are staggering,” said Perez.

"In Brooklyn, I'm seeing probably 40 percent of people wearing masks. If you love your elderly mother or your elderly anybody, you should get tested,” said Rock. 
Gov. Cuomo says that Brownsville and Flatbush in Brooklyn and Morrisania and Soundview in the Bronx are among the communities with double the infection rate compared to other neighborhoods. 
 "It's in communities that have an underlying health care disparity, which is a problem across this country. Populations that have higher incidents of underlying illnesses,” said Cuomo.
