New York City curfew goes into effect until 5 a.m.
UPDATE: 11:00 p.m. - The curfew for New York City is now in effect until 5 a.m.

Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced that a citywide curfew will be put in place again Tuesday night, this time at 8 p.m. through 5 a.m.
The order follows an announcement earlier in the day by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and de Blasio of an 11 p.m. curfew Monday through 5 a.m. Tuesday.
"I stand behind the protesters and their message, but unfortunately there are people who are looking to distract and discredit this moment," Gov. Cuomo said in a statement. "The violence and the looting has been bad for the city, the state and this entire national movement, undermining and distracting from this righteous cause."
The directive comes following nights of protests in New York City and the U.S. over the death of George Floyd while in police custody.
Hundreds of people were arrested over the weekend during protests in New York City. Multiple officers were hurt and dozens of police vehicles were vandalized, according to the NYPD.
