A Brooklyn family said their final goodbyes to a 22-year-old man who was shot and killed outside of the Albany Houses in Crown Heights.
Police say Russell Forrest Jr. was gunned down on June 7 and that it was a result of a dispute between Forrest and another man. They say Forrest was fatally shot in the torso.
The family came together on Wednesday for what they called a celebration of Forrest's life.
Police are now offering a $2,500 reward for information that can lead to an arrest.
The family is pleading for answers, and Forrest's mother says she wants people to put the guns down and that she wants to help bring awareness to anti-gun violence to prevent killings in the future.
