Two protests converged in Bay Ridge Friday for a massive demonstration, with some participants supporting Palestinians and others defending Israel.

Protesters took over both sides of the street on Fifth Avenue. 

The demonstration came during the worldwide "Days of Resistance for Palestine," in what organizers call a global show of solidarity with the region. 

Israeli and Palestinian media have reported that Palestinian officials claim that Israel is secretly working on a plan to annex portions of the West Bank. 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that he has not taken the annexation plan “off the agenda.”
