BROOKLYN - Kelso Brewery recently became the first New York City beer maker in more than 50 years to can its product locally.

The brewery, located in Clinton Hill, has been creating the bubbly beverage since 2007.

A few weeks ago, the company turned to Iron Heart Canning, a mobile business out of Monroe, Conn. to help the brewery can its liquids locally.

With help from Iron Heart Canning, the company says they have churned out nearly 60,000 cans.

Owners say their goal is to sell the beer outside of the tri-state area.
